Ms. Hope and I have two classes that we share. Our students come to school each day excited about learning, and they leave each day shouting as they go out the door, "We love 2nd grade!" They are full of life and eager for new learning opportunities. We have students from all economic and ethnic backgrounds. Each one is an individual and has different needs.
Each student is enthusiastic about technology and needs more opportunity each day to learn and grow in order to be prepared for this changing world.
My Project
Ms. Hope and I are asking for headphones so that our students can use the technology in our classrooms more effectively. Each of our students is given the daily opportunity to increase their learning of basic math and language skills through the use of technology. This opportunity greatly blesses them because it allows them to learn at their own level, but it can also cause distractions when the entire class is trying to listen to their devise.
Headphones will enable our students the opportunity to stay more focused, while getting the instruction that will be most beneficial to their specific needs.
They will be able to use them while learning basic math facts on Reflex as a foundation to all other math, as well as when they are being challenged with new skills with a variety of other computer programs. The headphones will also be used when they are working on Lexia- helping the students with their reading and phonics skills.
