My Students

I teach 20 students in the low country of South Carolina. They are caring and love getting online. They get hands-on crazy, and they love building and creating. They are great writers and thinkers.

This is an awesome class on the Edge of America.

Many of my students are at or below the poverty level. You are truly loved by these students. They love to learn and love getting attention. Most have never had the experiences that most students have had. They may not have touched books, or even have books at home. They get so excited when new things are brought in to help them learn.

My Project

The link between family and school has always been a battle. It is always great when parents support lessons at home and understand what we are trying to learn and achieve in the classroom. This new family engagement software called Power My Learning will allow parents direct contact and the ability to reinforce standards taught in the classroom. It comes with training that will allow me to reach my goal of including families into the lessons that are taught in the classroom. Students learn best when the are also supported by their families in the subject being taught. They are the key to success.
