My Students

Our school is located north of Phoenix in Anthem, Arizona, and our students have varied backgrounds and abilities. Our classes are split into three sections. As 5th Graders, they are learning about the world around them and how they can contribute to our global community.

My students are growing academically, emotionally, and physically.

They are blossoming into citizens who can face and overcome challenges. As they develop and grow, they are learning how to handle challenging academic and social situations.

My Project

Classroom seating that is intentionally designed to support different modes of learning can improve behaviors and promote individual study, group work, presentations, peer-to-peer discussion, and one-on-one instruction.

Giving students some control over their learning environment can promote a sense of ownership in the classroom and a sense of overall well-being.

A variety of seating options gives students an opportunity to move freely, accommodating a variety of learning styles.

These non-traditional seating options will be used to allow students to work in an environment best suited for their individual needs. They love when they have the opportunity to sit someplace other than a desk to work!
