Increasing Basic Reading Skills for ESL Students

Help me allow my students to practice their basic reading skills.

My Project

I am a teacher a Title I school and our ESL students account for about 25% of the school population. Basic reading skills are crucial mastery skills for a child's future reading success.

The project in items will support my ESL students with practicing and mastering sight words as well as phonics skills.

that includes Lakeshore Touch & Read Sight-Word Sentence Match and mapping words slapping hands. These skills will help my learners increase their decoding skills and encourage them to move on to become fluent readers. Fluency is a ginormous milestone for helping ESL students overcome literacy hurdles to achieve the results of understanding text and applying reading comprehension skills.
