Incorporating [Chalk] Art Into Our Curriculum

Help me give my students high quality art supplies with a large chalkboard, colored chalk, elegant journals and Prismacolor colored pencils.

My Project

I have a new challenge ahead--working with a small group of students who have survived a lot in their short years. These 6th to 8th graders are not succeeding in the regular education classrooms and generally do not like school. I would like to help turn that around for them.

I want to provide them with high quality, beautiful materials to help inspire their greatness within.

We will use the large chalkboard to model cursive, chorally read quotations and Hawaiian chants, and experiment with chalk art that goes along with the content. The students will also be provided with unique journals to keep track of their process.
