My Project

Handling an inclusive classroom is both rewarding and challenging. My students have a wide range of learning needs, especially those with IEPs (Individualized Education Programs), and it’s my mission to support each of them in a way that works best for their individual learning style.

Many of my students require one-on-one instruction, particularly when learning how to use graphing calculators an essential skill for upcoming state tests.

However, teaching them through their Chromebooks often causes discomfort, as some students struggle with being in crowded spaces or having others too close while learning. This can lead to frustration and anxiety, making it even harder for them to focus.

In addition to needing support with technology, my students benefit greatly from the use of hands-on manipulatives and calming tools. These resources help them stay engaged, manage sensory needs, and reduce anxiety during lessons. Having access to calming tools like fidget items, noise-reducing headphones, or soft lighting, along with educational manipulatives, gives my students the chance to regulate themselves emotionally and better absorb the material.

With your support, I can provide the tools that allow each student regardless of ability to learn in a way that feels safe, individualized, and empowering. Together, we can create a more inclusive, comfortable, and effective learning environment where every learner has the opportunity to thrive.
