it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Hello! My name is Ms. S., and I am a Moderate/Severe Special Needs teacher working with students 9th through 12th grade. My students have autism and other cognitive disabilities which impacts their ability to make friends with age appropriate peers and engage in activities together.
Through play, students with Special Needs can engage with general education peers to develop communication skills, social skills, gross motor skills, and overall enhance their quality of life.
The general education population also gains awareness in how to socialize with special education students in a manner that is inclusive and compassionate.
Please help fund our project for large Jenga blocks, cornhole set, and Connect 4 and enhance the experience of students with Special Needs through play!
