My Project

I am hoping to get a second weighted blanket for my classroom. It seems to provide a sense of calm and help some kids focus on their learning. Students will use it on their lap as they sit for whole group and individual assignments. By making the learning environment an inviting, comfortable place has been a priceless tool.

I've also added graphic novels, erasers, and other important items.

I'm finding that we can't have enough erasers, they get used fast. Mistakes are an important part of learning. Having good erasers is necessary.

I'm noticing a big trend towards graphic novels. I want to increase our collection. Some of my struggling readers are helped by the many pictures and get less discouraged when reading.
