Incentives for Making Good Choices for Our Learning and Community
My students need tangible incentives such as pencils, pens, erasers, and bookmarks for making positive choices for both their learning and classroom community.
My students are incredible! My students are in first, second, third, fourth, and fifth grade. They are curious, inquisitive, hard-working, and dedicated. All of my students have Individualized Educational Plans because they have been diagnosed with a disability. All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch at school. All of my students come from high poverty areas and all of my students love coming to school. My students are brilliant individuals who learn differently than their peers. These students will be successful and it's my job to create learning opportunities that ensures this.
My Project
My students are charged with making positive and good choices regarding their learning and our classroom community each day. Students in my community often overcome obstacles just to get to school so I have to imagine making good choices while they are here can be challenging at times. Like I said before, my students are the BEST and I truly believe that they deserve the best from us at school. I try to be the best version of myself each day and plan differentiated and personalized lessons that foster growth and love of learning in each of my students. My students don't expect it but I know they appreciate when I am able to give them little rewards throughout the week. I know that these special pencils, pens, bookmarks, sharpeners, and erasers will be well received and appreciated by my students. I'd like to put these materials to good use by using them as incentives for making good choices during the day, making positive choices for our classroom community, performance on tasks and assessments and homework completion.
