Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school has an amazing group of students, students who work hard to meet academic expectations. I work with students with Individualized Educational Plans who require additional support to meet grade-level expectations. My students have proved that they work best when their personal needs are met and they feel cared for. I had a lot of success with my students last year using incentive charts to meet daily goals. These sticker charts monitor how well they did to earn enough stickers each week to win a prize from the prize box. These fidgets included in the order will be used as part of this year's prize.

My students are their greatest advocates for what they need to produce their best work.

In addition to prizes, my students are always hungry and advocate for snacks. They know that in addition to a sticker on their incentive chart, if they meet their daily goal, they will get a snack. These snacks are also used during testing windows. For that reason, I am looking to continue using snacks as a reward system for work completion and participation.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
