My Project
My third-grade students will take the End of Grade test for the first time. The tests are given in North Carolina and other states to students in grades 3 to 8. They are designed to measure the student's performance based on the goals and objectives of the Standard Course of Study. Every year, the preparation for the tests gets a lot of attention from parents, teachers, and students. The EOG phase, which begins in March and ends in late May, is a big deal for most of my students, who come from lower-income households. Despite this, they still try their best to be the best at what they do.
I believe that having consistent encouragement and motivation will help improve their EOG scores.
My students need consistent motivation, especially during the weeks leading up to the EOG. This is because they need to maintain their stamina when it comes to taking practice tests and learning about the concepts.
A treasure box filled with various items like motivational pencils, mini plush animals, squishmallows, stickers, sensory toys, snap bracelets, light-up bracelets, and mini notebooks can provide them with motivation and encouragement.
I want to give my students a small prize for all they do, as they are working incredibly hard. These rewards can help keep them motivated and encourage them to keep participating in the classroom.
