Incentives and Rewards for Our School's English Language Learners

Help me give my students the rewards and incentives they need to motivate them to make ELD progress to reclassify from the program.

My Project

This year I have a new position in my school which allows me to work with our entire school's English Language Learner (ELL) community to help them reach their goal of reclassification prior to entering middle school. Each year we train our amazing teachers with new skills and policies on how to better assist this group of children. These teachers do an AMAZING job teaching them what they need to move up the ladder. My job is to assist them in meeting individual needs, train and communicate with parents on ways to assist their children, and meet with the children directly to set the positive mindset to motivate them to try hard in their instruction.

To make this all possible we need rewards to keep them motivated.

As the EL Coordinator, I want to set individual milestones for these children so they can meet their goal by 5th grade. AQs they reach each milestone, the will get a little incentive such as a sticker, pencil, reading buddy, reading tool, book mark, award, and more. Ultimately, they would get a customized trophy with their name on it for reclassifying from the ELD program. Allowing students to self progress monitor is key to a child's success. Please help make my vision a reality. We appreciate your support.
