My Project
The specific items I'm requesting will make a difference in student learning. Some of the items, such as sticky notes, tape, and binder clips are supplies I (the teacher) and students use on a normal basis in the classroom. We are replenishing these supplies. The incentive chart is for students to check off their completed work. By listing assignments, and having students put a checkmark on it when they are finished, students can better keep track of what they have turned in. The mood pencils are a gift for students to build our classroom community.
The goals for this project are to build my classroom community and increase learning.
By having students keep track of their work, students are going to be working harder and learning more. Also, using sticky notes as exit tickets and pre-assessments during lessons builds our class conversation and community. It also increases students' schema/background knowledge of the concepts they are learning.
My students are so special. They are creative, fun, and eager-to-please. Please help give them some basic supplies and an incentive chart!
