In Tune from a Distance

My Students

Our charter school is diverse in two ways: we serve students from Kindergarten through 8th grade, and we have a higher than average population of students with special needs. Our 10-year-old school is proud to be a Leader In Me Lighthouse School,

We have monthly student-led and student-produced Lighthouse assemblies where we celebrate successes and highlight student accomplishments through the Seven Habits of Highly Effective Students.

My Project

Middle School Students who have elected to study piano need cases to safely transport their electronic instruments. Ukulele students need individual clip-on tuners. They can no longer share clip-on tuners with a classmate in the music room, because they will be studying from home.

We have instruments to send home, but not enough accessories, including padded cases for keyboards, clip-on-tuners, and batteries for the tuners.

Students will be able to safely transport pianos without fear of damaging them. Ukulele students will have the ability to learn how to tune without the ease of a personal tuner.
