Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In the coming school year, my students will be learning from home part of the time if not all of the time. This has been challenging with the smallest learners, but they have shown resilience, perseverance, and determination! I want to prepare them as best I can for a successful educational experience.
My Project
We are in an unprecedented time in our world. While young children may not understand everything that is going on, it is surely affecting them.
In my classroom, it is absolutely essential that every child know that he or she matters...a lot.
We celebrate our diversity, we cheer for every small step of progress made, we laugh and cry together.
I am requesting a diversity craft and puzzle for my students, as well as bins for classroom storage and bags should the craft need to be taken home for distance learning, and journals for expressing their feelings. This learning activity emphasizes individuality and is something the students and their families will treasure for a long time to come.
