Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting a macbook for use in my classroom. The students will have the opportunity to use technology daily and prepare them for the future use of technology in school and their careers. It will give me the opportunity to support different learning styles, engage students more effectively, provide students a great tool for collaboration with other classmates and create excitement about learning. As our nation becomes more dependent on technology, it is more pertinent to produce tech-savvy students. The students need to be exposed at a very young age so that they can succeed and prosper in the future.
The macbook will be used during center time for the students to complete computer science coding, comprehension and enrichment activities.
Since some of my students are just learning to read, the computer will teach them how to properly pronounce science and mathematical terms.
We have also begun working on computer science and coding. For the students who are advanced, they will complete enrichment activities to enhance their mastered skills and maximize their skills.
