This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from a high poverty neighborhood where 99% of them receive free lunch. All my students love coming to school! In school, they are provided with a safe, structured learning environment.
My students work to their fullest potential.
They learn by listening intently, asking questions, trying their hardest on classwork and projects. They never give up. My students understand they are all different and enjoy helping each other. They deserve everything needed to give them a proper education.
My Project
My students are fortunate enough to have classroom chromebooks. However, we are in need of a charging cart.
We do a lot of work on our chromebooks and it is important for all devices to stay charged.
A problem we face is several chromebooks in need of a charger at the same time. With a limited amount of wall outlets this has been a huge challenge in our classroom.
With a charging cart students would no longer have to worry because when they come to school their chromebooks will be fully charged! They can instead concentrate on their assignments.
We currently store chromebooks in a basket overnight. A charging cart would also give us a safe secure place to be stored. This will prevent the chromebooks from being damaged. Keeping our chromebooks in excellent condition is important for not only this years class, but classes in the future!
