Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Young children are highly visual learners, and being able to create resources that are in color will help students retain concepts better- especially in math, science, and language. Materials and resources printed in color tend to capture the attention of most people, especially young children, which will help with student learning and engagement in various tasks. I want my student to get excited about their learning, and being able to provide them with resources in color will help on that journey.

Students in second grade are gaining more and more independence, so being able to provide them with colorful schedules, group tasks, and manipulatives will help them complete given tasks in class with and without the assistance of the teacher.

I want to foster their desire to be life-long learners, thinkers, and problem-solvers and having a color printer in our class will bring this to life... in living color.
