Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach a diverse group of students that are English Language Learners. My students come from different ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. My students are learning to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language and are doing so with a smile. They are beyond special because they are part of an ever-evolving neighborhood in the Bronx. Many of my students speak Spanish and serve as translators in their home! Some of my students have mild to moderate special needs and are thriving while learning English.

I encourage my students to build each other up and respect each other as individuals, motivating them to reach their full potential in all areas of their life, while showing them kindness really goes a long way.
My Project
My classroom supply list consists of basic classroom essentials that provide my students with structure, organization and a colorful environment. The supplies list will make a huge difference in my students' leaning environment. The pencil, highlighters, calendars, paper, rewards and activities will provide them the necessary tools to complete their assignments while building the self confidence needed to be successful.
I believe that a colorful, stimulating and interactive leaning environment helps students feel excited about school and the learning process.
My students will greatly benefit from having a color printer in their classroom. I would love to print and display student work, rewards, essays and projects with vibrate colors versus plain black and white. Its also great to have a copy machine accessible when they need additional copies or support on the spot. Please help me achieve this goal in providing my students with a rich learning experience.
