Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a first-year, 8th grade math teacher specializing in Pre-Algebra and Algebra at a high-need middle school.
The upcoming school year will be very difficult for our students and our teachers. Teachers will not be allowed to print anything to laser printers and will be allowed only a limited number of photocopies. Although technological advances have been made, for instance LCD projectors and laptops, the math classroom cannot become completely paperless.
With the printer and extra printer cartridges, I will be able to print a classroom set of diagrams, graphs, activities, worksheets, assignments, and projects for students to use during class.
Math is visual and students need concrete pictures, explanations, and examples. To ensure the my students receive the maximum amount of differentiated instruction, I need your help. With a classroom printer, together we can maximize students math comprehension.
