This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is my second year as a Spanish DLI teacher in California. I obtained my degree in Spain and worked there for five years as a bilingual teacher in Barcelona.
My students are a diverse population learning academics and a new language at a time.
To best address their needs I am taking courses to improve my basic skills in English. This writing course would benefit my students as I could apply the learned techniques, and help them develop their writing skills.
Unfortunately, if I can not complete this course, I will not be able to continue working as a bilingual teacher here since I need the certification. This course will allow me to meet those requirements to continue teaching.
