My Project
Our classroom computers are old and have a hard time keeping up with the newer operating systems. With the keyboards missing keys, faulty computer mice and computers that are well past their prime, my students would benefit from having new technology infused into their everyday education!
My students are 36 tenth to 12th grade students some of who may have have been diagnosed with varying levels of Emotional Disturbances with accompanying learning disabilities.
Judged often by their peers as well as their communities, my students can have a very negative outlook on school and completing in-depth research assignments. Through time, with an individualized, step by step approach, my students are able to understand that the work they create has value and should be celebrated. Unfortunately, my classroom lacks the technology to allow my students to be creative without getting on each others´ cases about not working fast enough. Together, we can help my students, who are for the first time making large academic strides, continue to grow, by providing them with technology that will encourage them to flourish while improving their ability to edit our school podcast with these headphones!
