My Project
As a reading interventionist, I serve students in Tier 3 of our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). I work with these students to determine their areas of need and design personalized intervention plans to meet those needs. I then serve as an interventionist and work with very small groups to carry out these plans.
I'm not only a teacher and interventionist, but an ongoing learner.
The more I learn about reading research and effective interventions, the better I can serve my students and help close their reading gaps.
Part of my job is being an integral part of our schools MTSS program. I work with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to ensure that we are serving our students effectively. This MTSS online course, which consists of 5 modules, will allow me improve my practice by increasing my knowledge of effective MTSS practices. The professional learning books will also help improve me knowledge of MTSS and of best practices in reading intervention.
