Improved Learning Through Text And Technology

My Students

Already in second grade, my students are learning from other authors to improve their writing, identifying point of view in written text., and researching on the computer. The skills my children are required to master are increasing, but our supplies are staying the same.

My students are amazing, and they are all from different backgrounds.

My students all have that twinkle in their eye, and a thirst for knowledge. They work so hard each and every day, to learn more, do more, and achieve more. They are role models to me and others.

My Project

This project requests headphones and copies of Courage, Roller Coaster, Trust Me, Jack's Beanstalk Stinks! and Really Rapunzel Needed a Haircut! We will use the books I have requested to learn about writing from mentor authors, and study point of view. The headphones will be used in our listening center as well as with the computers. The computers are used for research, enrichment of our math curriculum, and reading practice.

This project will make a difference in my students' lives by giving us mentor texts to perfect writing skills and headphones to enrich reading and math skills.

It will open up a world beyond the classroom that can be explored through the Internet!
