Cup stacking - or sport stacking - offers numerous benefits for kids. Benefits include improved hand-eye coordination, right and left brain activation, bilateral coordination, fitness, brain building, body/brain connection, and more. Sport stacking is much different than other fitness activities normally seen in the gym, and helps engage students of all ability levels. Sport stacking also levels the playing field for our students. Non-athletic students can now compete head to head with their more athletic counterparts, significantly raising their self esteem, motivating them to work harder in PE and be excited to participate.
Students that sport stack on a regular basis have shown increases in test scores and levels of concentration, due to students using both right and left sides of their brain.
When students sport stack, they are crossing the "midline" of their bodies and develop new connections in their brains. New connections help brain growth which in turn promotes greater academic achievement.
