This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My school is made up of 150 Pre-K and Kindergarten students. Our biggest population of students are children with and without disabilities. It is a diverse group of children of different races and ethnicities who come from low-income families, each from the city of Springfield. Our team is creating a Positive Behavior Incentive System (PBIS) program for our entire school to support the Social Emotional Development of our students, as well as to create a positive school climate for all teachers, students, and families.
Incredible Incentives!
In order for our young population of learners to understand an incentive system, the team has decided tangible items would be most effective! We are looking for items to both create and fill a school store, where students can "cash in" their earnings for a special prize!
My Project
These fun and exciting incentives will entice our students to work hard to meet the behavioral expectations created and implemented by the school wide PBIS program. Students will earn daily "cub cash" by making positive behaviors throughout their school day. My school is beginning to develop a school wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) System to increase positive behavior for all students within our school community. We would like to build a traveling school store with this cart where students can cash in their earned "cub cash". With these tangible incentives, our young students will be excited to work hard towards meeting the behavior expectations in the hallways, in the classroom, on the bus, and even on the playground!
Incredible Incentives!
Students will be able to use their earned "cub cash" to visit the new school store where they will be able to choose their own incentives spending the "cub cash" they have earned with their positive behaviors! Students not only will be rewarded by their positive behavior at school, but can bring these incentives home and share their excitement with their family!
