Impact First Grade -Meet The Need

Help me give my students a chance to succeed in their First Grade with supplying their basic needs as my class has little to no supplies. They need scissors, erasers, posters and bins for their books.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items I am requesting will allow my students to have adequate supplies that will enable them to put their best foot forward in learning.

Having erasers; scissors ; dry erase board and basic essentials for them to practice handwriting and math skills will allow them to succeed.

I plan on organizing some of the supplies into some bins that I previously purchased since my students will be sitting at tables as they don’t have desk to store their books. Thank you in advance for your donations.

One of my two main goals is to have my class make their grade level requirements with at least 65% reaching on level objectives. My second goal is to have all students (100 %) be able to ask simple questions in English and Spanish such as where is the bathroom; what is your name and so forth. There is a blend of ESL students and English speaking students and these resources (posters) will benefit all for conversation and literacy skills.

This is my first year with this school yet my third year teaching and I love being a part of students success. Teaching a child how to problem solve-do math independently; write sentences and so much more is exciting and fulfilling.
