My Students

I have 23 amazing Kindergartners who are learning at one of the best Title I schools in the State of Arizona! Many of my students receive free or reduced breakfast and lunch. And for many of them, it is their first school experience.

All of my students know I have high expectations for each of them and come to school with a "YES I CAN attitude." In my classroom, I also emphasize the importance of manners, respect and kindness and it shows through their actions on a daily basis.

I strive to provide a positive learning environment for my students. Each of them deserves a quality education in a developmentally appropriate atmosphere.

My Project

My kindergartners will use iPads to practice their literacy and math skills during small group instruction and independent learning time.

During scheduled times throughout the day, students will learn on fun and motivating apps such as ABC Mouse, Starfall, ABC Expedition, Super Why, Splash Math, and so many others!

I have seen considerable improvement in their literacy and math skills with the few iPads and computers I currently have in my classroom. In fact, my students are already reading CVC and predictable books, writing stories, and learning many math concepts from decomposing numbers to 3D shapes. It truly is amazing to see their growth.
