Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students I teach come from a variety of different economic backgrounds; with 100% of students receiving free lunch. Our school is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in San Diego. Students speak a multitude of languages including English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Somali, and Burmese.

Our school is home to students that strive to be confident, respectful, responsible, and healthy thinkers.

I am kindly asking for your support in helping us as we transition to distant learning. We need binders and other organizational supplies to help student succeed while learning from home.

My Project

Teaching during a pandemic looks nothing like what we're used to. Kids are now using a variety of learning apps to practice skills taught virtually. There are all sorts of educational apps that allow students to not only work but excel at their own pace making learning a lot more effective for everyone. Teachers now can have a paperless classroom, share interactive presentations, and assess students. Having a classroom iPad would allow me to monitor students in real time and provide the necessary feedback they need to be successful in this new way of learning.
