My Project
My heart swells with admiration for each and every one of my Pre-K special needs students! What I love most is their unique spark, their incredible resilience, and their individual ways of seeing and interacting with the world. They bring such a beautiful tapestry of perspectives and teach us all so much about patience, acceptance, and the power of celebrating every milestone, big or small. Their determination to learn and grow, often in the face of unique challenges, is truly inspiring.
The hands-on resources make abstract concepts concrete and accessible.
They support the development of math skills, spatial reasoning, and fine motor coordination in a playful and engaging way, catering to different learning styles. The board books' sturdy construction withstands enthusiastic exploration, repeated handling, and even the occasional mouthing, allowing for independent engagement without the worry of damage. Board books often feature bright, clear illustrations with high contrast, making them visually accessible for students with visual impairments or those who benefit from simplified imagery. These clear visuals aid in comprehension and engagement. Dramatic play naturally encourages communication. Whether they are pretending to be a doctor, a chef, or a superhero, students are motivated to use language to express their ideas, negotiate roles, and interact with others. This fosters vocabulary development, sentence structure, and conversational skills.
