Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My diverse students are special in the way that many different cultures and languages come together in one loving classroom to flourish the little learning seeds all of them carry and desire to grow. I love my students and I am very passionate about giving them the very best education I possibly can.

The goal of this project is to combine learning with play so that school is where growing brains can be creative while grasping the understanding of reading, math, and science.

Items like the classroom rug and liquid tiles leave room for exploratory play within the imaginative world of a pre-k student. The hands-on kinetic sand and play-doh help their growing hands practice fine motor skills along with interacting with the themes of our pre-k curriculum. The chalk allows paper to flow onto the sidewalks to practice writing in a different environment. The floor cushions gives them a comfortable representation of how to sit on the classroom floor. The magnetic tiles and legos empower students to build what their growing minds desire.
