My students need 3 sets of books to read in the classroom, including "The Boxcar Children" and "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" sets.

My Students

Have you ever read a book and been taken away? Our classroom library is very limited, so many of my students have had this experience. The more books my students are exposed to, the greater love of reading they will develop.

Our school is a low income school with over 50% free lunch rate.

The students are very eager to learn. Our school works hard to make sure all students are successful. Our system does not receive funds for the teachers to spend in the classroom, so that means lots of resources are limited.

My Project

Many students do not have books at home. My students get very excited when they read. They need to be exposed to reading and understand the importance of it. If they learn to read fluently, then they are more likely to be successful and productive citizens.

Funds for classrooms are very limited.

My students would greatly benefit from the books requested. The books would give my students the opportunity to explore lots of new places while improving their reading skills. This will provide many books for students who may not have access to books at home.
