My Project

I love teaching in my small rural school. We have a family atmosphere and I treat each student as if they are my own.

My students have little to no exposure to books except inside the classroom.

This is a very low income community where most students read below grade level.

I want to provide an opportunity for my students to read daily and hope to spark their interest so that they will have a love for reading, which will most certainly help their reading ability.

Students will choose books on their reading level or ability weekly and will use Accelerated Reader to test for comprehension. Students will earn rewards for points earned in AR.
