Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My bilingual students need access to essential writing materials to enhance their skills and foster creativity. This project for a language kit and writing tools aims to empower first-grade bilingual learners to strengthen literacy in both their primary and secondary languages while building confidence, vocabulary, and communication skills. Many of my students come from under-resourced backgrounds and lack basic tools like notebooks and pencils, which are critical for creating a supportive and inspiring classroom environment.
With your support, I plan to: provide each student with journal, writing tablet, answer boards, dry erase boards, marker pens, spacers, and other personal writing supplies, implement engaging activities like journaling, storytelling, and collaborative writing, and establish a classroom writing station with diverse materials to encourage creativity.
