My Project
The items being listed are community washable dolls, which will promote positive peer communication and imaginary play skills. In my elementary life skills classroom I have students that have communication delays and will highly benefit from these fun opportunities to interact while in a high interest activity. Some of these will also help teach life skills such as letter writing and mailing skills, with use of the mailbox. The housecleaning set will likely inspire students to learn how to help out with classroom jobs.
The people shaped arts and crafts will assist in students learning about themselves while creating a doll representing themselves to share with peers.
The multicultural puppets will create opportunities to learn about different cultural customs and clothing.
My goal for these items are to create a trusting environment to learn in and be motivated to learn more and increase communication skills.
