My classroom is greatly affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The majority of my students come from a low-income families. Parents are having difficulty completing or even getting on the computer. There are a handful of students who have yet to complete any work thus far.
We are learning with our curriculum websites along with live chats.
It's difficult not being in person which is much different than home. I miss seeing, talking with my students everyday, they know what to expect when they come to school.
My Project
I will use these books to read aloud during some of live chats. Videos will be made of me reading a book from a C or D level book using the document camera. My students will then be able to create a book report based on the video which they can listen and watch.
Some of my students are not be able to join the live chats.
This would give them an opportunity to complete their work. There are different situations, if they can't download an app, they will be able to view the video.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
