This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A dramatic play center with a kitchen and kitchen supplies invites children to explore their cultures, express their imaginations, and share family traditions through pretend play. As they "cook" meals from home or try out foods from different backgrounds, they build cultural awareness and respect for others.

This type of play promotes language development, cooperation, and problem-solving.

It also fosters inclusivity, allowing every child to feel seen and valued. By encouraging storytelling through food and role-play, the kitchen center supports creativity, empathy, and social-emotional growth in a joyful, meaningful way.
