My Project
In this digital age, who appreciates the printed page, or the smell of a library book?
I have been teaching my current class for the past 2 years, since 2nd grade, and they are a bunch of old souls who love turning the pages of their imagination.
The struggle is having our own classroom library readily available at our fingertips. I have been checking out and returning books from my town's public library in order to provide my class with literature, but now I need your help.
I have chosen book sets and collections from Scholastic that reflect my students' interests, such as science, the Civil Rights Movement, and fictional character series. I have also chosen math workbooks to reinforce mathematical skills pertaining to fractions, multiplication, and division, which will serve as both review and enrichment activities throughout our math blocks in class.
