This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I would like to provide my students with uniform shirts and sweaters to not only take lift the burden of purchasing uniforms, but to also minimize distractions in my classroom. Currently, when students do not have enough uniforms to get them through a week or two, they wear clothes with glitter, sequin, and their favorite characters. Students are excited to talk about their clothing during instructional times.
Uniforms create a sense of unity and equality among students.
Having school uniforms for my students will keep them focused on their education and not their clothes. Wearing uniforms enhances school pride, unity, and community spirit. School uniforms may improve attendance and discipline.
