This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our mission is to create a safe and nurturing community of learners where students earn the Seal of Biliteracy (English and Spanish), learn to advocate for social justice and are prepared to enjoy and access what the world has to offer. I work in an urban school where I have great students who do their best every day to learn or reinforce their skills in Spanish.

My Project

The use of differentiated activities is everything for our lessons. I have students at multiple levels and they have different needs. Each completed lesson and activity will help them get closer to the goal (understanding, speaking, reading and writing Spanish).

So far we do not have an official curriculum to help us design activities when planning Spanish Language Arts

class based on the standards. For this reason, Spanish teachers must seek external resources to help us create plans to meet the different needs of our students.

With your help, I could continue searching for quality resources that can help me achieve our goal.
