Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love to listen to stories being read to them on our rug. It is the perfect place to gather them and read books that have important messages. Learning lessons from books is more enjoyable as well as being more memorable than just having discussions.
I am asking for books that will help to teach my students about character education as well as self-care.
Some of these books are: The Good Egg, The Bad Seed, The Cool Bean, The Sour Grape, and The Couch Potato. These books teach important lessons about self-acceptance, self-esteem, self-management, forgiveness, and compassion. I think these will be wonderful additions to our classroom library.
