This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello! My name is Olivia Stewart and I will be teaching at an academy school beginning this Fall. My goal is to create a classroom environment that allows students to feel empowered in their learning. With this project, and a little help from you, I can create a classroom where students will have access to all of the resources and materials necessary for them to succeed.

I am very excited to begin this journey and would love support as I work to get books, supplies, and decor for my classroom.

I want students to have a cozy and welcoming environment to learn in each day that they come to school!

By having more books in my classroom, students will have more options to choose from and develop a stronger relationship with reading. Having options for everyone is very important to me! Having materials that students can use as we learn is important because they can enhance our learning experiences. With the decor of the classroom, I will be able to add a variety of things that will make students feel at home.
