My Students
Our school has students from kindergarten through eighth grade. About 75% of the students receive free or reduced-rate lunch. I believe with all my heart that our school is the best kept secret in our district.
The students, faculty, and staff treat each other as family.
It's a safe, nurturing environment for learning and growing students to reach their fullest potential. My students work hard and are thrilled to practice and to learn new skills. My goal is to grow students academically and socially by planting the needed skills to find success in life.
My Project
In uncertain times of the pandemic, still students must have different avenues of being creative. Social distancing and not sharing supplies have hindered many forms of creativeness.
The magnetic builders and building blocks I have requested will help to aid my students to express their creativity.
Having these building block materials will provide activities to promote my students' spatial and reasoning abilities. This is a must. Students who are engaged in applying all parts of the brain are more likely to be more proficient in all content areas.
Students who are engaged in using these creative materials will stay more interested in reasoning and spatial awareness tasks, will take ownership in the amount of time they use to create, and will increase their self-efficacy. Students need to be able to express themselves in many different forms of learning.
