Illuminated Clothing: the Fusion of STEM and Dance

My Project
At our school, we have a strong performing arts program. We are excited to announce that our newly renovated auditorium is set to open in Spring 2025. We aim to incorporate new technology into our Performing Arts Program for their concerts, shows, musicals, and all future performances.
In this spirit, our STEM program will collaborate with the Dance Program to create illuminated costumes.
This project will utilize materials that enable the use of black light and illuminated gloves. The STEM program will be responsible for creating the circuits, programming, and sewing necessary for the costumes. This collaboration highlights the connection between STEM and Dance, showcasing the innovative possibilities that arise when these disciplines come together.
