My Project

My Students:

I teach a diverse group of high school students in grades 9-12, who are passionate about exploring the world of digital photography.

They come from various backgrounds and bring unique perspectives to their work, showing remarkable creativity and dedication. Despite their enthusiasm and talent, many of my students face financial challenges that limit their access to quality photography equipment and supplies.

My Project:

To provide my students with a comprehensive photography education, I am seeking funding for professional lighting equipment, photo paper, and ink. These resources will enable students to experiment with various lighting techniques, improve their photography skills, and produce high-quality prints of their work. Access to proper lighting equipment will allow students to explore studio lighting, commercial photography, and fine art photography, while the photo paper and ink will ensure their printed portfolios are as impressive as their digital files.

Project Goals:

- Enhance Learning Through Professional Equipment: Provide students with hands-on experience using professional lighting equipment to improve their understanding of light sources, shadows, and composition.

- Support Advanced Projects: Enable students to complete advanced photography projects, such as studio lighting setups and commercial photography assignments, with the appropriate tools.

- Showcase Student Work: Allow students to print high-quality photographs for their portfolios, exhibitions, and competitions, showcasing their talent and hard work.

- Foster Creativity and Confidence: Encourage students to experiment and take creative risks, knowing they have the resources to produce professional-level work.
