My Students
Throughout the school day, I work with delightful children with various learning styles and special needs. They are always striving to do their best to participate and be successful in the classroom.
At our school we work together with our students to create a strong learning community where they can be themselves and feel accepted for who they are.
Teamwork is important, and the students quickly learn how to assist and support each other in positive ways.
We start the school year with children who are shy and reserved, and we end the school year with a group of empowered, confident students ready for an amazing school career.
My Project
Through the COVID pandemic, it has become more difficult to maintain the structure our students need that impacts their social and emotional health. The light table will bring something new and exciting to our classrooms. Tracing letters and words is now something our students will look forward to. We'll also work on our sorting and patterning skills to aid in language arts and math skills. We'll also have light-up building blocks to help with fine motor skills and the fun of building. This Light table will create lots of opportunities for activities and learning and will help with the development of a wide range of skills, including fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, pre-writing skills, and color recognition.
