My classroom is made up of 22-25 4 and 5 year old multicultural students. Most of the kindergarten students are learning to read, write and follow directions in a classroom setting for the first time. About one third of our students are English language learners another third are special needs and the rest are low academic students. Our school in general is a low socio-economic school with more than half of our school qualifying for title one services.
My kindergarten students love to use the starfall website and other interactive websites. We do not currently have an LCD projector in our classroom and have access to one about twice a month.
If we had an LCD projector in our room all of the students would be able to use interactive websites during center time, math and writing, on a daily basis. With this projector, students would be able to work in small and whole groups with the computer screen projected on a white wall with interactive LED light pens that we already have.
Thank you for your donation and providing our classroom with an LCD projector that will allow all the students to use interactive websites. The students will enjoy having the capability to project the computer image on the wall. Your donation will make a classroom of 4 and 5 year old's excited about learning!
