My students need an iPod to help differentiate learning, and prepare them to be 21st Century learners.

My Students
Have you seen the cartoon with the little boy trying to get a signal on his book? My situation is similar with a Nano classic iPod. An iPod Touch would not only be used for reading, it would allow students to practice a variety of skills with educational applications.
Our school is a Title One school.
Most of the students receive free or reduced lunch. My first grade students are curious, and eager to learn. Currently, there are 14 students in my class. Although technology is a major part of our world today, the only exposure that most of my students have with technology, besides television and game systems, is what they get at school.
My Project
The iPod Touch will be used in the listening center. It will also be used by individual students to practice math and reading skills. The educational applications will provide reading and math practice. I hope to be able to monitor my students' progress as they practice.
Your donation will help provide my curious and eager first grade students with a tool that will motivate them to practice the skills that we learn in class.
The new technology will also help make my students ready for the 21st-Century.
