My Project
Students in our special education program face unique challenges in communication, literacy, and cognitive development. Traditional teaching methods often do not fully meet their needs. Research has demonstrated that assistive technology, such as iPads, can enhance learning by providing interactive, multisensory engagement. Getting this project funded would directly address this need by providing an iPad to support individualized learning plans and promote student success. I would utilize the iPad for educational apps, reading support, and interactive lessons tailored to individual learning needs. The iPad will also help when it come s to tracking students' progress.
iPads can be powerful tools for special education teachers when it comes to progress monitoring.
Many apps allow teachers to collect data in real-time, track student progress on individualized goals, and generate reports with ease. Digital portfolios, graphing tools, and customizable checklists make it simple to record observations and measure student growth over time. Additionally, built-in accessibility features like speech-to-text and audio recordings can help teachers document student performance more efficiently while accommodating diverse learning needs.
