This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As we returned back to the classroom from the pandemic our basic norms looked very different. Students and teachers wore masks and socially distanced. As a primary teacher this was very challenging. My young students were not able to see the expressions on my face and constantly struggled to hear me. I strained my voice more than ever before trying to amplify my voice through the mask. As I begin a new school year with a new and younger grade level I want to ensure I am prepared to provide the best possible learning experience. The items in the project are imperative to a successful school year. They support and improve a better auditory environment. Post pandemic primary students with new norms deserve quality instruction they can clearly hear no matter what.
